Surviving Joint Owner Vea esta página en español

You are a "Surviving Joint Owner" if all of the following conditions are true:

  • you have a Cemetery Deed on which your name appears as Grantee, and
  • you have survived another owner or owners whose name(s) also appear on the Deed as Grantee, and
  • the words "As Joint Tenants With Rights of Survivorship" appear on the face of the Deed.

If all of the above apply, we will record a "Termination of Joint Tenancy" in your favor.

If these words do not appear on your deed, then ownership is held as "tenants in common." Please see Establishing Inheritance.

In all cases, we will require a certified copy of the death certificate for any deceased owner not interred at or cremated by Inglewood Park Cemetery.
