How to Translate a Web Page Into Another Language
Most modern browsers can automatically translate web pages into your preferred language. Follow the instructions below for your browser.
Google Chrome
- Open the website you want to translate.
- If the page is in a different language, Chrome will show a translation popup near the address bar.
- Click Translate.
- To choose a different language, click the three dots in the popup and select Choose another language.
- Right-click anywhere on the page.
- Click Translate to English (or your default language).
- To change the target language:
- Click the Google Translate icon in the address bar.
- Select your preferred language.
Microsoft Edge
- Open the webpage.
- If the page is in another language, Edge will show a translation popup in the address bar.
- Click Translate.
- To select a different language:
- Click the translate icon in the address bar.
- Choose your desired language from the dropdown menu.
If no popup appears:
- Click the Translate icon in the address bar manually.
Safari (Mac)
Safari uses Apple’s built-in translation feature.
- Open the webpage.
- In the address bar, click the Translate button (speech bubble icon).
- Select Translate to [Your Language].
- If prompted, click Enable Translation.
- Click the translate icon again and select a different available language.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox may require a translation extension.
- Open the webpage.
- Click the Translate icon in the address bar.
- Choose your preferred language.
- Click Translate.
- Click the menu (☰) in the top-right corner.
- Select Add-ons and Themes.
- Search for Google Translate or another translation extension.
- Click Add to Firefox.
- Use the extension icon to translate pages.
