Historic Walking Tour – Mausoleum of the Golden West

Join us Sunday June 23rd for a FREE 90-minute walking tour of the Mausoleum of the Golden West. See where luminaries like Ray Charles, Betty Grable, Cesar Romero and Etta James are interred along with one of the largest collections of stained glass windows anywhere in the world. Designed by Judson Studios, if you include the skylights there’s 180 stained glass panels representing a wide spectrum of California iconography like the 21 Spanish Missions, Yosemite Falls, the Russian River, Emerald Bay, Antelope Valley, Laguna Beach, Lake Arrowhead, the High Sierras and redwood trees. These incredible windows offer a remarkably thorough crash course in California history perhaps only available in a few museums across the state. The Mausoleum of the Golden West is a treasure trove and one of the most beautiful architectural locations in all of California.
